Bamboo House at Kallar

A small cottage on stilts on the banks of Kallar River in the outskirts of Trivandrum, this house gave us an opportunity to prefabricate the entire structure - a combination of slender steel frames and bamboo panels for floor and walls and insulated galvalum sheet for roof. After all elements were fabricated, they were transported in a single truck to the site and erected over the concrete stilts in 2 weeks time.
