Abad Whispering Palms, Kumarakom

Located on the banks of Vembanad backwaters in Kumarakom, the site had a very weak soil strata.  The Clients, Abad Whispering Palms, wanted us to explore setting up 10 luxurious cottages with optimum structural systems. 

To reduce the weight of the structure, Inspiration has designed the cottages with Prefabricated bamboo panels for roofs and floors in combination with slender RCC frames. Combination of bamboo with reinforced plaster gave the interiors an elegant white finish with the roof of exposed polished bamboo panels.
